Situated on the Atlantic coast at the southern

mountains and stretch down to the coastal plain and wetlands area.
The beach, known as Long Beach, stretches
for 8km of pristine white sand - meeting up with Kommetjie beach. Horse
Riding on this beach is not an uncommon site.
Noordhoek Farm Village provides the visitor
with endless hours of shopping . The coffee shop, restaurant and pub provide
the visitor with something to eat and drink and the farm stall offers
freshly grown organic vegetables.
The Red Herring Trading Yard close to the
beach area provides various shops, nursery, restaurant and pub.
Monkey Valley Resort set in a Milkwood forest
on the Mountain Road offers rustic upmarket accommodation and spectacular
views of the beach ….. Thorfynn's Restaurant boasts a good menu too and
lovely sunset views.
Sunbird Environmental recreation centre on
Silvermine Road, provides sleeping accommodation and guided tours through
the wetlands, night-time exploration and arts and crafts sessions and
adventure activities. Silvermine Reserve is also well worth a visit offering
the visitor mountain biking &hiking in the mountains. The mountains
have a number of plant species, including indigenous trees, Proteas, Ericas
and reeds. This mountain area stretches through to Kalk Bay and Muizenberg.
